April Fool’s came a bit late for jailbreakers – yesterday, while we’re all waiting for a new jailbreak iOS 8.3 or 8.4 utility from either TaiG or Pangu, hacker Stefan Esser posted a video highlighting his own iOS 8.4 beta 1 jailbreak. However, don’t get too excited, in what Esser (commonly known as i0n1c) is calling his “proof of concept”, he teases a jailbreak none of us will likely enjoy.
i0n1c’s New iOS 8.4 beta 1 Jailbreak Tease: Explained
Unfortunately, Esser has quite the reputation among the community as being a “troll” – in fact, it’s so bad that on jailbreak’s sub-Reddit, moderators often remove all traces of conversation/debates pertaining to the hacker, especially since the drama with Pangu (explained in the above video).
Hacker i0n1c Has Done This Before

This isn’t the first time he’s flaunted a jailbreak he never intends to release, as he did the exact same thing last year with his so-called cyberelevat0r jailbreak, only this time it’s for iOS 8.4 beta 1, the firmware that will eventually succeed the current iOS 8.3 public build.
For additional information on the current situation, as well as why i0n1c’s new post iOS 8.3 jailbreak achievement probably won’t benefit the jailbreak community, we suggest watching through the above video from popular YouTuber iCrackUriDevice. We won’t link directly to Esser’s video, as it doesn’t do anything but prove that his iPhone 6 plus is running iOS 8.4 and launching Cydia
